Hermes Connector is an unofficial community project by Corsen AI that lets Hermes Agent work inside the Chrome the operator already uses, with their existing logins, instead of driving a separate headless automation browser. It has two halves that must be on matching versions: a Chrome extension published on the Chrome Web Store, and a local companion that speaks to it over a loopback broker port. The extension embeds the real local Hermes dashboard in Chrome's side panel and connects one exact Hermes profile and session to the tabs the user explicitly attaches. That attachment is the security boundary: a tab is unavailable to Hermes until it is attached, and a session with no attached target fails its browser action visibly rather than falling back to whichever tab happens to be active. With a tab attached, Hermes can inspect and read the visible page; navigate, click, type, scroll, hover, select, drag and send keyboard actions; find text, use browser history and take requested screenshots; and open, list, switch and close tabs within that session's authorised scope. Several Hermes projects, sessions and Chrome profiles can run at once and stay isolated from one another, with each browser request routed back to the session that issued it and each named Chrome profile keeping a distinct local identity. Chrome's debugger transport stays off unless the user enables trusted input. The README publishes a compatibility table across releases with matching companion downloads and broker ports, warns against mixing versions, and points to a support site covering upgrades and a LevelDB recovery procedure for an older pair. Requirements are a local Hermes Agent installation and a recent desktop Chrome.
