stock-analysis-plugin is a market research toolkit that registers with Hermes Agent as a plugin, with parallel registration paths for Pi Agent extensions and OpenClaw. All three share one Python CLI layer and one set of SKILL.md workflows and differ only in the registration shim; the Hermes side lives in a hermes directory carrying the manifest and Python entry point, and the package is also published on PyPI, where Hermes can discover it through the hermes_agent.plugins entry point. It exposes 39 tools covering quotes, candlestick data, technical indicators, pattern recognition, capital flow, financial statements, news sentiment, risk screening, chip distribution, sector rankings and market statistics, over Chinese A-shares and ETFs as well as Hong Kong, US, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese equities. Nine data sources, namely akshare, tushare, efinance, pytdx, baostock, yfinance, finnhub, longbridge and alphavantage, are chained so that a failing or unconfigured provider falls through to the next, and API keys are optional per source. Twenty skills sit above the tools: three core workflows for multi-dimensional analysis, whole-market screening and strategy backtesting, plus seventeen strategy methodologies including Chan theory, Elliott wave analysis, moving-average crossovers, volume breakouts, bottom volume, sector leadership, box oscillation and market emotion cycles. The backtesting engine takes a YAML strategy DSL combining factors and conditions, runs the backtest, diagnoses the result and iterates with LLM-suggested parameter tuning. Social sentiment enrichment pulls from Chinese stock forums and from Reddit, X and Polymarket for US and Hong Kong names, routed automatically by market. Optional web search integrates Tavily, Brave, SerpAPI, Bocha or a self-hosted SearXNG instance. Python 3.10 or newer is required. The README is written in Chinese, with separate English integration guides in the docs directory.
